Charity Tournament

We will be hosting a Charity 8 ball Tournament at the Moose Lodge on Oct. 2nd. Starting at 1pm.
Entry fee is $10.00 for early entries(by Oct 1st). Late entries $15.00. Half of the money will be paid to the winners and Half will go to Moose Heart. Go to the Moose Lodge web site to learn more about Moose Heart.

Joyce will be there as a member of the Moose, to wait on those of you who have not yet joined the Moose.

Singles Director/Head Ref

Ed and I have appointed Darrell Smith as Singles Director. Darrell will be planning the singles and I will put letters in your packs as well as on the website. If you need to get in contact with Darrell please let me know and I will put you in contact with him.

We have named Bim Raborn as head Referee for Tigerland TAP. Bim will have final say in all matters.

Nationals Singles/Rally at Bally's 2010

If anyone is wanting to go To Las Vegas for the National Singles in 8 or 9 Ball or put together a dream team you can go to tapleague.com for the entry forms. Also anyone wanting to join a dream team can contact Doug Clay, he has several players that are wanting to go and may be able to put together a couple of teams. Call Joyce and she will put you in contact with Doug.

This year TAP is allowing 9 ball teams only to have a buy in this if you are interested in this please call Joyce, this must be an existing team.

I tried to post the registration forms on the web but could not do it. I have the forms and will supply them for you if need be.

Congrats to Shantel Rowell and Matt Chapman on there engagement. Shantel and Matt shoot on Chalk it up/Mark it up out of Side Pockets on Monday night and LLejends ll/Rebels out of Sand Bar on Tuesdays and Sudden Death/TA-Kill-Ya out of Sand Bar on Wednesday night.

We would like to say congratulations to Barry and Magan Bomar, they are expecting there first baby. Barry and Magan shoot on Ladies & Gents/Gents & Ladies out of Side Pockets on Tuesday night and Bearkats 8/Bearkats 9 out of Sand Bar on Wednesday night.

We would like to Welcome the Sand Bar owned and operated by Tim Hulk. Sand Bar is the only Pool Hall in The area that has Diamond Tables. We will be shooting out of Sand Bar on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Welcome to Tim and his Sand Bar family to our Tigerland TAP family.

2010 TIGERLAND TAP TITLE HOLDERS

Congrats to Phantom 9 and Pheonix 8 out of Sand Bar and Secrets for there victory in 8 and 9 ball Title Holders. Captained by Mike Wilson with players Mike Davis, Mike Brewer, Doug Clay, Denise Hill, Dan Maloney and Joyce Jones.

2nd place 8 Ball team was Side Pocket Saints, out of Side Pocket Billards Captained by DeWayne Dinwiddie, with players Amanda Rich, Gary Weise, Rick Ross and Layne Johnson.

2nd place 9 Ball team was Easy 9's out of Moose Lodge Captained by Bill Tate, with players Dickie Smith, Steve Wison, Steve Mc Daniels, Johnny Hall, and Destini Smith.

New Teams

We would like to welcome Wild West with there two teams to our TAP family. TA-KILL-YA/SUDDEN DEATH, Captianed by Tim Johnston with players Cindy Johnston, Derrell Thrash, Mike Brewer, Pat Holden, and Matthew Patterson. BEARKATS 9/BEAR KATS 8, Captianed by Kenny Brown with players Joyce Jones, Mike Wilson, Ron Bozman, Garry Bagley and Doug Clay. Let's all remeber when we first started and give them a warm welcome and help with the rules.

As always we appreciate all of our teams and bars for there support. We are up to 10 teams on Wed. We need help on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Great job everyone.

I apologize to Tim Butler for not mentioning his name. Tim is on the team 9 nails and went to Nationals in Charleston, SC. Thank you for your support Tim and all of our TAP teams. Don't forget to join us for our singles tournament the 2nd and 4th sat of every month held at Side Pockets. Following the tournament Roger has been holding scotch doubles and singles tournaments come have fun with us.

I wanted to let you know how nice it was to see you both again.  You both brought a lot to the table at the licensee meeting and in talking to you both, I know you walked away with a lot too.

 

Thank you for your help at the Rally in the Valley 2010 event.  It was greatly appreciated.  I look forward to working with you at Nationals 2010.

 

Those of us who have been around can tell when people are going to be successful, and I truly feel you both will be.

 

Our customers are our players, and we all work very hard to best serve them.  I know at times it is difficult to accept, when you work very hard and a player or two are not happy.  Just remember to keep your head up, continue to do the best for your league/your business, provide them with the best TAP has to offer, get feedback, but once a decision needs made continue to make it and consistently enforce it for all.  We are not going to make everyone happy as much as we all are the type of people that try to.  Should you need my assistance or support, I am only an email away.

 

I have been on your website and reviewed all that is going on and some of the things you are trying to accomplish and I am quite impressed.  I wanted to post this via your blogger, but as you know I couldn't figure it out.  So, I emailed you.

We would like to welcome Roger and Karen Lites, as of April 1, 2010 they are the new owners of Side Pockets. Thanks to Tony and Michelle for there wonderful support. I will miss doing business with you all and Look forward to doing business with Roger and Karen. Good luck to Roger and Karen on their new adventure. We hope the best for Tony and Michelle as well.

This past weekend one of our own completed a Marathon. Joben Murray of Straight Up ran the Rock N Roll Mardi Gras Marathon in New Orleans. Congratulations!
